Miami, FL – Neurologists from Moscow Pediatric Center of Craniofacial Surgery and Neurology, and Russian State Medical University are visiting Miami Children's Brain Institute this month for approximately three weeks. Dr. Andrey G. Prityko, neurosurgeon; Dr. Arcisse V. Comfort, neurosurgeon; Dr. Sergey O. Ayvazyan, neurologist/neurophysiologist; and Dr. Oleg V. Klimchuk, neuroradiologist; are learning about the evaluation and surgical treatment of pediatric epilepsy at Miami Children's Hospital (MCH), including case selection, diagnostic evaluation, electrophysiology, neuroimaging and various surgical techniques.
The physicians stated that they chose Miami Children's Hospital over other hospitals because of its international reputation for clinical innovation and excellence.
“Our team is very excited and grateful to have the opportunity to form important academic and clinical relationships with our Russian colleagues,” said Michael Duchowny, MD, Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, which is part of Miami Children’s Brain Institute.
