Safe Kids del Condado de Miami Dade

La Alianza SAFE KIDS (niños seguros) del Condado Dade está formada por organizaciones públicas, privadas y voluntarias que se unieron y se comprometieron a identificar y reducir de forma significativa las muertes o lesiones causadas por accidentes de los niños de la región sur de Florida.  Respondemos a las necesidades de nuestra comunidad al brindar educación profesional, programas de capacitación práctica e iniciativas legislativas esenciales para promover la seguridad y el bienestar de los niños.

Servicios comunitarios

  • Seguridad en bicicletas: se distribuyen cascos de ciclistas al costo a las escuelas locales y los grupos comunitarios.
  • Exhibiciones de ciclismo: actividades interactivas y divertidas que enseñan a los niños habilidades seguras para andar en bicicleta.  Estas exhibiciones se presentan en remolques, por lo que pueden trasladarse a escuelas, tropas de niñas y niños exploradores, iglesias y otros eventos de la comunidad.
  • Dispositivos de contención infantil: se realizan eventos de inspección de dispositivos de contención infantil junto con otros organismos de la comunidad. Los dispositivos de contención infantil están disponibles al costo o a un precio con descuento.
  • Prevención de incendios: se distribuyen detectores de humo al costo.
  • Seguridad en el agua: participe de la Alianza para la Prevención de lesiones en el agua de la región sudeste de Florida.
  • Seguridad con las armas de fuego: participe junto a otros organismos locales en el Proyecto Communities Addressing Responsible Gun Ownership, C.A.R.G.O. (Comunidades que abordan el tema de la posesión responsable de armas de fuego).
  • Ferias de salud: ofrecen voluntarios, materiales escritos, dispositivos de seguridad e información de prevención de lesiones a diferentes organismos y grupos comunitarios.
  • Programa para infractores de las leyes que disponen el uso de dispositivos de contención infantil: escuela de tránsito para personas que son citadas por no usar o usar de forma inadecuada los dispositivos de contención infantil.  Los infractores deben demostrar que cuentan con el dispositivo de contención infantil adecuado al tamaño del niño.  El curso enseña a los infractores acerca del uso adecuado de dispositivos de contención infantil.
  • Programa de seguridad de niños pasajeros con necesidades especiales - El Proyecto de seguridad de niños pasajeros con necesidades especiales de SAFE KIDS promueve la prevención de lesiones y la protección de todos los niños con necesidades especiales y sus familias que andan en vehículos motorizados.
