Patient of the Month: Roberto

marzo 27, 2024 – Roberto was born smaller than average and required further evaluation and testing at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. After being diagnosed with Wolf-Hirschhorn (4p-) syndrome, Roberto was cared by Dr. Parul Jayakar and Dr. Paula Schleifer at the Nicklaus Children's Brain Institute, and would continue treatment at the Rare Chromosomal Disorders Clinic at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

enero 22, 2024 – Barbara (también conocida como Barbie) vivía en Venezuela y recibía tratamiento para la leucemia linfoblástica aguda cuando su familia decidió viajar a Nicklaus Children's Hospital para que recibiera terapia dirigida y atención adicional en el Instituto de Cáncer y Trastornos de la Sangre de Nicklaus Children’s.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center Reaccredited by National Association of Epilepsy Centers

abril 16, 2024 – Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, part of the hospital’s renowned Brain Institute, has been reaccredited as a level 4 epilepsy center for 2024-2025 by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).
