MIAMI -- Rani Simon Gereige, MD, MPH, has joined Miami Children’s Hospital as Director of Medical Education. Dr. Gereige will oversee the hospital’s accredited pediatric residency program, multiple subspecialty fellowship programs and pediatric dentistry education program, as well as the hospital’s continuing education program.
Prior to joining Miami Children’s Hospital, Dr. Gereige served as Assistant Medical Director for Children’s Medical Services for Pinellas and Pasco counties. Previously, he served with the University of South Florida College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics in several capacities, including as Professor of Pediatrics, Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Training Program, Associate Pediatric Clerkship Director and as Fellowship Director.
Dr. Gereige received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Faculty of Medicine in Beirut Lebanon. He received his master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Gereige has published and presented extensively on a variety of pediatric topics and has been included in the 2009 listing of “Best Doctors in America.”
