Dr. Alexander Scarlat was introduced as the new Chief Medical Information Officer of Miami Children’s Hospital in December. As CMIO of the hospital, Dr. Scarlat’s role is to serve as a liaison between clinicians and the Information Technology Department.
Dr. Scarlat is a board-certified anesthesiologist with a degree in computer science. He joins MCH from Trinity Health where he served as the Director of Clinical Informatics since 2006.
