On August, 9, Radio Lollipop at Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) hosted its eleventh annual birthday bash with an American Idol-style talent show. Hospital patients and staff got on stage and showed off their talent for applause and prizes.
Musical guest DJ Laz from WPOW Power 96 FM was on-hand and served as the birthday’s emcee. A day before the party DJ Laz hosted a twelve-hour radiothon on Power 96 for Radio Lollipop and the patients of Miami Children's. With the help from the South Florida community, DJ Laz raised $45,000 and $20,000 in toy donations.

Radio Lollipop offers a fun dose of diversion for the children at MCH. During program hours patients can visit the studio, help Radio Lollipop presenters DJ the show, work on creative activities, win on-air prizes, and request songs. Radio Lollipop at MCH broadcasts live from the main playroom studio every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
