Lauren Pronman Thompson, DO
Clinical and Biochemical Geneticist
Dr. Lauren Pronman Thompson is a clinical and biochemical geneticist with the
Division of Genetics and Metabolism at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Thompson completed a combined residency program in pediatrics and medical genetics at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center/Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Ohio. She then pursued a fellowship in medical biochemical genetics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Her clinical interests include inborn errors of metabolism and medical education.
Dr. Thompson is board certified in clinical genetics and general pediatrics. She is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, American Osteopathic Association and American College of Medical Genetics. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
