Prior to joining Nicklaus Children’s Hospital cardiovascular program as echocardiographer and clinical cardiologist, Dr. Mas was professor of Clinical Cardiology at University of Miami School of Medicine, where she developed the intraoperative transophageal echocardiographer program. After graduating from Stevens College and spending a year at Oxford University, she received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, along with an award for Excellence in Pediatrics. Post graduate pediatric training was at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. She is a diplomate of the American Boards of Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. She has published articles and presented research on cardiac peptides for the American Academy of Pediatrics Young Investigator Award.
