Kaitlin Kobaitri, DO

 

Dr. Kobaitri received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida with a major in Food Science and Human Nutrition and a minor in Family Youth and Community Science. During her undergraduate training she was awarded the Anderson Scholar of Distinction.

Dr. Kobaitri attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. While in medical school her academic excellence was recognized by being awarded the Mason Pressley Award and Student DO of the Year. During Pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (then, Miami Children's Hospital), she was the first author for her research discussing superior mesenteric artery syndrome as a complication of spinal fusion repair in adolescence.

Dr. Kobaitri found her passion for Critical Care Medicine, and following residency became part of the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship program at Nicklaus Children's Hospital and was awarded Fellow of the Year. She was the first author for her research that outlined the demographic importance in bicycle related trauma. She also headed a quality improvement project and increased compliance in reducing oxygen toxicity in the PICU.

As an attending at the Nicklaus Children’s PICU, Dr. Kobaitri has taken special interest in Quality Improvement.
