Angelica Garzon, MD
Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist
Dr. Angelica Garzon is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist at Nicklaus Children’s. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Garzon completed a residency in pediatrics at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a chief resident year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Cornell-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Garzon then pursued a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the same institution. Her clinical interests include blood disorders, with a focus on platelet disorders, sickle cell disease and leukemias.
Dr. Garzon is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, American Society of Hematology and Children’s Oncology Group. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented at various medical conferences, including the ASPHO Annual Meeting.
Dr. Garzon is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
