What is dance injury prevention screening?

A comprehensive biomechanical motion analysis and physical evaluation of a dancer’s risk of injury. Designed to identify areas needing improvement to reduce the risk of injury and enhance performance.

What happens during the screening?

A Dance Medicine professional performs a motion analysis and physical assessment of the dancer to identify deficits in strength, range of motion, balance and neuromuscular control that may increase the risk of injury. A summary of the results and training recommendation package is provided to the dancer.

Is any special preparation needed?

No special preparation is needed for this test.

What are the risk factors?
