Baseline Balance and Vestibular Test

What is a baseline balance and vestibular test?
The Baseline Balance and Vestibular Test is a physical assessment of balance and vestibular function designed to be performed as a component of pre-participation concussion testing.
What happens during the procedure?
Baseline Balance and Vestibular tests are administered by our trained Sports Health concussion specialists. Athletes will perform 30 minutes of physical testing on the NeuroCom force plate balance system. Results are stored in our database for post-concussion comparison, and each athlete is provided with a testing results summary.
Is any special preparation needed?
No special preparation is needed for these tests. Sneakers should be worn.
What are the risk factors?
There are no risks related to balance assessment and vestibular testing.
