"When I made the decision to be a volunteer in a children's hospital, I thought it would be very difficult because, as a woman and as a mother, you are very sensitive and have your feelings always on the surface.
I thought every time I would enter a room I would not be able to stand seeing the sick and weak children, knowing that one of them could be my son; I thought I would run away to cry in the restroom.
But what a great surprise, none of that happened because every time you enter a room what you find is a wonderful child. These children are fighters, full of desire to live and with a positive attitude even in their situation; children with a strong spirit, who love to play, sing and have fun like any other child of their age.
Now, every time I go to the hospital they fill me with life and make me a stronger mom, and the only thing I can do, is be thankful for this wonderful experience!"
