FAC Service Award Recognitions

In 2022, the FAC developed an initiative to personally recognize hospital staff on a quarterly basis. Clinical and non-clinical staff who have impacted parents and patients beyond the “hospital visit” or “service/treatment received.”

Family Advisory Council (FAC) Service Award presented to Kevin Sevilla, RN

September 23, 2024 – The Family Advisory Council is happy to recognize the excellent service provided by Kevin Sevilla, RN. Kevin delivers care to our patients and families in the PICU. Kevin was recognized for the compassionate care he delivers to patients. Families have shared that Kevin listens to his patients and is always reassuring and puts them at ease.

September 18, 2024 – The Family Advisory Council is happy to recognize the excellent service provided by Jose Gonzalez, RN. Jose delivers care to our patients and families in the PICU. This is what one of the families Jose cared for shared, “PICU BOYS Jose and Kevin are amazing angels they have such great patience. PICU is stressful, and as a parent emotions are high. These guys don't wear capes, but they should.”

November 21, 2023 – The Family Advisory Council is happy to recognize the excellent and stellar efforts provided by Dr. Malvezzi during the second quarter of 2023. The following feedback was received about him: “He was compassionate, attentive, and professional while speaking to my daughter. He carefully discussed examples of everything in a soothing manner. He even provided examples that were in age-appropriate terms to explain the diagnosis and treatment.”

May 01, 2023 – The Family Advisory Council is happy to recognize the stellar efforts provided by the LifeFlight Team. As a member of the Patient Safety Committee the FAC also has purview to the behind the scene metrics and efforts that the LifeFlight (LF) Team has put forth, especially during the pandemic. Thank you to the pilots and medical staff in the LF team. You make each parent/child who boards your helicopter feel safe.
