Fernando Pérez-Hickman Muñoz, Chairman of the Board of Sabadell United Bank and Managing Director of the America & Global Corporate Banking Division of Banco Sabadell S.A., has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Health System, the parent organization of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
The 12-member panel provides fiscal and operational leadership to the health system, which includes the 289-bed nonprofit pediatric hospital, a growing network of nonprofit outpatient centers extending from northern Palm Beach County to southern Miami-Dade County, Pediatric Specialists of America, the system’s employed physician organization; a management services organization and ambulatory surgery center, as well as a line of children’s wellness and safety products.
Mr. Pérez-Hickman has extensive experience in banking and finance. Prior to his leadership positions with Sabadell, Mr. Perez-Hickman served as Managing Director of International Banks for the Santander Private Banking Division, located in Miami and Chief Executive officer of Banco Central Hispano USA, located in New York.

Mr. Pérez-Hickman also served as treasurer and is Member of the Miami Children’s Health Foundation board. Other leadership roles he has held include Chairman of the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the board of directors for the Spain-Florida 500 Years Foundation.
