May 18, 2018 – In observance of vascular birthmarks awareness month, The International Birthmarks Institute at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital held its first Vascular Birthmarks Conference at the hospital’s main campus on May 5th. The event brought together patients, families and medical professionals representing a range of specialties to present the latest in diagnosis, treatment and research related to birthmarks. 

Dr. Ana Duarte Named 2016 Physician of the Year by the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation

October 13, 2016 – The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation presented Dr. Ana Duarte with a 2016 Physician of the Year Award for outstanding service in the diagnosis and treatment of children affected by a vascular birthmark.
