About the Speaker:
Dr. Tirado is employed by Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She has been a pediatric otolaryngologist within the Division of Otolaryngology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital since 2011. Dr. Tirado treats patients with disorders encompassing the entire spectrum of pediatric otolaryngology, from routine health care for children with minor ear, nose and throat (ENT) problems to complicated head and neck, sinuses and airway surgical interventions in the operating room. She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. Dr. Tirado then completed a residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a fellowship in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Her clinical interests include disorders of the head and neck, complex airway problems, congenital malformations and voice disorders.
Dr. Tirado is board certified in otolaryngology. She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and American Medical Association. Dr. Tirado is active in clinical research. She has presented at conferences and been published in medical journals.
Dr. Tirado sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus and the Nicklaus Children’s Aventura Care Center. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
