What is research myoinositol?

Myoinositol refers to a potential treatment for fertility in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It has shown effectiveness in several studies in helping women with PCOS become pregnant when they couldn’t previously.

What happens during the treatment?

Myoinositol is an oral supplement that is taken each day, sometimes twice per day. It is available in pill form or as a powder mixed with liquid.

Is any special preparation needed?

No special preparation is needed for the treatment.

What are the risk factors?

Myoinositol is not effective in every woman who takes the supplement. However, it is fairly safe, and very few side effects have been observed among the women who have taken the supplement at a standard dose.
