Miami Children’s was first included in the magazine’s list in 2006 and moved up in the ranking significantly in 2007. Inclusion in the Training Top 125 is based on many factors, including financial commitment, programs offered, methods of evaluation, workplace surveys, and HR data such as turnover and new employee referrals.
Others that have been named to the list include such giants of industry as Ritz-Carlton, Wachovia and Verizon Wireless.
Miami Children’s Hospital offers more than 128 certification programs annually for basic and advanced life support, neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, in addition to medical trauma certifications. Its education department, accredited by the American Heart Association and Trauma Center, serves as a certified training center for employees, local fire fighters, paramedics, as well as patients and their families.
