MIAMI -- Dr. Narendra Kini has resigned as CEO of Nicklaus Children's Health System. Dr. Kini has led the health system for 10 years, sparking transformation and fueling growth that led the organization to evolve from a pediatric hospital to a nationally and internationally recognized pediatric healthcare system. Dr. Kini has informed the health system leadership and employees that other opportunities beckon and he has chosen to pursue them.
“The board is extremely grateful to Dr. Kini for his contributions and unwavering dedication to Nicklaus Children's. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” said Mario Murgado, chair of the Nicklaus Children's Health System board. “Dr. Kini played a vital role in driving the technological advancements for which the health system is recognized, including the development of the hospital's Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion,” he said.
Matthew A. Love, current Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, will serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer for the health system. Mr. Love has more than 20 years of experience in financial and operational oversight in both adult and pediatric healthcare systems. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Regions for Mercy Health System in Ohio, where he led a team of seven regional chief financial officers.
Mr. Love is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering, and has a master's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University.
