Radio and television personality Alberto Sardiñas has been named a new director on the USA Board for Radio Lollipop. Sardiñas will serve as a celebrity guest at Radio Lollipop’s sixteenth birthday party celebration at Miami Children’s Hospital taking place on August 14. The carnival-themed celebration will include an array of activities for the hospitalized children such as face-painting, photo booths, games, dancing and much more.
Alberto is host of WAMR Amor 107.5 FM in Miami and WPPN Pasión 106.7 FM in Chicago, both part of Univision Radio, the leading radio company serving Hispanics in the U.S. He also hosts Univision Radio’s "Íntimo", a leading syndicated show in which he receives phone calls from listeners looking to share personal stories and receive a friendly opinion. Sardiñas is also a contributor and guest host on shows such as Univision Network’s “Tu Desayuno Alegre” among others.
As the author of “El Poder de Tu Historia" (The Power of Your Story), published by Santillana U.S.A., Sardiñas compiled 40 true, short stories portraying life lessons told to him by his listeners. He was also recently chosen by Radio Ink Magazine as one of its 2012 Rising Stars.
“Sardiñas will serve as a link to the Hispanic community throughout the country and help Radio Lollipop in its efforts to expand to other children's hospitals in the United States,” says Donna Huck, Chairman of the Radio Lollipop USA Board.
