Congratulations to Dr. Stephen Swirsky, part of the Nicklaus Children's Sports Medicine Program. He will be the Team Physician for the USA Judo team and the International Technical Official (ITO) for the International Judo Federation (IJF) at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Dr. Swirsky is a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Miami Children's Hospital who specializes in sports medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. After receiving his medical degree, he served as a resident and chief resident in orthopaedic surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida. He is the medical director of one of the largest youth football leagues in South Florida as well as a soccer league in Broward County.
