9:50 PM – Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) LifeFlight helicopter left Opa Locka Airport with medicines, antiseptic, tetanus vials, donated scrubs, pampers, personal items with 2 pilots, 1 mechanic, 2 nurses and 1 medic on board. Helicopter fueled in Ocala, Tallahassee, Mobile, AL and landed at Houma Airport, LA, 40 miles SW of New Orleans.

Early AM – Shortly after arriving at Houma Airport, MCH LifeFlight departed for Children’s Hospital New Orleans (CHNO). LifeFlight airlifted two post-premature critically ill infants to Baton Rouge, LA.
10:15 AM – MCH Lear jet departed Opa Locka Airport for New Orleans Airport Supplies on board, include diapers, baby formula, toothbrushes, antiseptic, scrubs, fresh fruit, juices, insect repellent/treatment, medical supplies, personal items and water.
12:30 PM – Lear jet update arrives at New Orleans Airport
6:30 PM - Last communication with LifeFlight staff. The staff conducted a total of 8 patient transports that day: 2 from CHNO (1 trip) and 6 patients (3 trips) from Meadowcrest Hospital in New Orleans to Bell Chase Naval Base.
