MIAMI, FL. L. Santiago Medina, MD, MPH, Co-Director of the MCH Department of Radiology’s Division of Neuroradiology has been elected as associate editor of health policy and practice for Radiology, the world’s leading journal in medical imaging.
Dr. Santiago Medina joined Miami Children's Hospital as a neuroradiologist and pediatric radiologist in 1999. He received his medical degree from the Institute of Health Sciences, CES University in Colombia and went to Washington University Medical Center for his radiology training. He later completed his radiology fellowships at Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals and received his master’s degree in public health and health care management from Harvard School of Public Health, Massachusetts.
The Department of Radiology at Miami Children’s Hospital is an exclusive pediatric radiology facility. Miami Children's has been imaging children since 1950, constantly providing state-of-the art equipment and a staff that is trained and dedicated to the care of infants and children. The Department performed in excess of 78,000 cases last year.
