MIAMI, FL...Andrew Labbie, M.D., has been elected to the board of directors of Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH). Dr. Labbie joined MCH in 1989 and has served as Chief of the Department of Surgery since 1999.
Dr. Labbie completed his medical degree with distinction at Northwestern University, Illinois. He completed his residency in surgery and in urology at the University of Texas and a fellowship in pediatric urology at Baylor University at Houston. In 1996-1997 he was honored as a recipient of the “Best Doctors in America” Award. Dr. Labbie is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He also serves on the voluntary faculty of the department of urology at the University of Miami School Of Medicine in Coral Gables.

Miami Children’s Hospital, founded in 1950, is the only licensed specialty hospital for children in South Florida. The 268-bed medical complex offers comprehensive medical care and services for children from birth to age 21.
