It takes the hard work of each and every employee at Miami Children’s Health System (MCHS) to deliver the outstanding service our patient families expect. We offer a supportive and equitable place to build a career, and we’re proud to announce that Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have named MCHS one of the country’s Best Workplaces for Women.
The list considered more than 400,000 employee surveys from hundreds of businesses in all sectors of the economy. The ranking gauged women’s assessement of their organizations’ culture, leadership, fairness and other elements essential for a great workplace. The Health System came in #55 on the list.
Miami Children’s Health System values employee health, wellness, professional development and work-life balance by offering programs that support personal and professional goals. The health system has a longstanding commitment to attract, build and retain the best talent. MCHS is also invested in employee development, offering a large variety of education, mentoring and training options. The organization makes it a point to recognize and reward it’s employees through various recognition programs and bonus opportunities. Work-life balance is supported through an on-site child care center and preschool at the main hospital campus, dry cleaning services that pick up and deliver to various locations, car wash services, discounts on entertainment and much more.
Research from Great Place to Work has shown that women are five times more likely to plan a long-term future with their employers when they say they’re treated as full members of the team, regardless of position. The Best Workplaces for Women also set themselves apart from competitors in other important ways: 95 percent of women at these organizations describe them as friendly, and the same share say they’re proud to tell others where they work.
"The Best Workplaces for Women deserve recognition for crafting environments where men and women alike can bring their best selves to work each day,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work.
The Best Workplaces for Women is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. The Health System also was ranked as a Best Workplace in Healthcare and a Best Workplaces for Millennials, by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE.
