Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is pleased to announce the availability of a 12-month postdoctoral fellowship position to participate in the Consultation-Liaison service, Outpatient Therapy service, and Outpatient clinics. The Consultation Service provides hospital-wide consultation and intervention for patients admitted to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
The postdoctoral fellow will provide inpatient consultation and intervention to hospitalized children and families, as well as outpatient follow-up care. Outpatient clinics include Diabetes Clinic, Late Effects Clinic, BMT Survivor Clinic, Sickle Cell Clinic, Sarcoma Clinic, Hemophilia Clinic, as well as, Rare Chromosome Clinic, GI Clinic, and Headache Clinic. Outpatient therapy and assessment cases will also be assigned.
Research involvement is encouraged for submission of posters and papers in national conferences. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program and internship in clinical child and/or pediatric psychology. Supervision and training for pediatric health interns (from our APA-accredited internship), advanced practicum students, and medical residents is also expected.
