What is Congenital Anemia?

Congenital anemia, including Fanconi anemia, is a group of inherited diseases that affect the bone marrow, decreasing production of all types of blood cells. The disorder begins with damage to the bone marrow.

Treatment: Treatment for congenital aplastic anemia involves rebuilding the bone marrow via blood or marrow cells from a donor.
