Recreation

Mission

The Recreation team strives to create an enriched an personalized patient experience by offering an opportunity to normalize the hospital environment through recreational activities, encouraging socialization and engaging in guided or free play in a safe environment.

Play Space Philosophy

Play spaces are areas that provide children an opportunity to socialize with other children that may be facing similar experiences. These are places where children may choose from an array of activities.
Play spaces are equally as important for siblings as they are for the hospitalized child. Our dedicated spaces for recreational play and guided activities also offer parents and caregivers peace of mind to focus on the needs of the hospitalized child.

Amphitheater & Plaza Events

The Amphitheater and Plaza host patient enrichment activities and a variety of special events in partnership with our community donors.
