The Nicklaus Children's laboratory serves as a blood work specimen collection satellite location for pediatric blood draws for LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics. Blood draws are available on a walk-in basis. Due to our commitment of prioritizing children and young adults, this service is available exclusively for those from birth to age 21.
Collection of specimens is offered from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. Please be aware that walk-ins must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to closing time (2:45 p.m. on Monday through Fridays and 10:45 a.m. on Saturdays).
What to Bring
Patient families will need to bring an order from the physician, along with their insurance information.
The lab-drawing service is located on the hospital campus. Please report to the Patient Access Department upon arrival. This area is easily accessible as you enter our building near the ground level of the Green Garage. The Patient Access staff will help to determine if your specimen will be processed via LabCorp or Quest based on your health insurance plan. Once you have been seen by the registrars in Patient Access, the staff will coordinate with the specimen collection team on your behalf.
Where to Park
For ease of access, we encourage patient families to park in the Green Garage.
