Welcome to Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, a world leader in pediatric healthcare. With a medical staff of more than 800 physicians and over 3,500 employees, the hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medical care from birth through adolescence. Nicklaus Children's Hospital, offers more than 40 pediatric specialties and subspecialties, and is home to Florida’s only free-standing pediatric trauma center.
The Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion
The Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion (APCP) at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a six-story, 213,000-square-foot bed tower that houses the hospital’s critical care offerings and an enhanced care environment for the pediatric population. Of the hospital’s 309 beds, 189 are located in the new tower.

Directions From US 1:
At Red Road (SW 57 Ave.) turn right if traveling south on US 1 or turn left if traveling north on US 1 and continue to Coral Way (SW 24 St.). Make a left on Coral Way and continue to the first light which is SW 62 Avenue. Make a left. Follow SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
From I-95:
Exit I-95 at SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway). Continue west on SR 836. Exit at Red Road (NW 57 Ave.) and continue to travel south until reaching Coral Way (SW 24 St.). Make a right on Coral Way and continue to the first light which is SW 62 Avenue. Make a left. Follow SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
From SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway):
- When traveling East: Exit at Red Road (NW 57 Ave.) yield to the right and continue to travel south until reaching Coral Way (SW 24 St.), make a right on Coral Way, and continue to the first light which is SW 62 Avenue. Make a left. Follow SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
- When traveling West: Exit at Red Road (NW 57 Ave.) and travel south until reaching Coral Way (SW 24 St.). Make a right on Coral Way and& continue to the first light which is SW 62 Avenue. Make a left. Follow SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
From SR 826 (Palmetto Expressway):
- When traveling north: Exit at Coral Way (SW 24 St.) and turn right (east) on to Coral Way and proceed to SW 62 Avenue. Turn right on SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
- When traveling south: Exit at Coral Way (SW 24 St.) and turn left (east) on to Coral Way and proceed to SW 62 Avenue. Turn right on SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
From SR 874 (Florida Turnpike/Homestead Extension):
Exit at Bird Road (SW 40 St.) and head east on Bird Road to Red Road (SW 57 Ave.). Turn left (north) on to Red Road and travel to Coral Way where you will make a left. Follow Coral Way to the first light which is SW 62 Avenue. Make a left. Follow SW 62 Avenue which will lead you directly to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Guest Parking / Self-Parking
As you plan your visit to the hospital campus, we'd like to help you by providing suggested parking instructions. The hospital's My Children's Nicklaus app offers detailed instructions to our campus and detailed step by step directions once you have arrived and parked. We encourage you to download this app.
There are three separate garages on the hospital campus, each identified by a color, blue, green and yellow. Their use is entirely complimentary.
The Blue Garage is the first structure you will see upon entering via our 62 avenue entrance. This is a mixed occupancy garage, used by visitors and staff. Designated guest parking is offered on the first and second floors. While other floors may be used by staff, visitors may use all floors.
Please park in the Blue Garage if this is your planned destination:
- Pediatric Care Center which offers primary pediatric services and adolescent medicine
- Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion - home of the three intensive care units (cardiac, neonatal and pediatric), inpatient hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplants as well as inpatient neuroscience unit
- NCPS Gastroenterology
- Car seat safety station
- Farmer's Market (held every Wednesday)
Please park in the Green Garage, the first parking structure you will see upon entering from the SW 57 avenue (Red Road) and Devonshire Blvd. (SW 30 street) if this is your planned destination:
- ALL medical/physician consultations (except those suggested above for the blue garage)
- Registration and Patient Access
- The Brain Institute
- Laboratory Services: Hospital-based drawing station for LabCorp and Quest
- Rehabilitation services
- Radiology services
- Inpatient medical/surgical services: 2North, FCC/post-op, surgery, outpatient surgery and minor procedures, same day surgery post-op, 3North, 3NE and 3South, inpatient psychiatry/behavioral health, the IBD Center, Hemodialysis and Infusion Unit
Yellow Garage
- The first floor of the yellow garage is for the Emergency Department patient families and the Center for Spinal Disorders
- Emergency drop-off is located at the SW 57 avenue (Red Road) and Devonshire Blvd. (SW 30 street) entrance and valet parking is free to ED patient families only
- Gated, by permit decal and ID access, employee parking is offered in this garage as well.
Valet Parking Services
As a convenience to patient families and visitors, Nicklaus Children's Hospital offers valet parking at the entrance to its Central Building, near the Devonshire Boulevard ingress/egress to the campus.
- Free to ER visitors: Valet services are free of charge for those visiting the hospital's Emergency Department
- Rates: All other users of the valet service will be charged a $7 flat rate
- Valet Hours: 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- The valet is operated by Towne Park
