Pediatric Fluoroscopy

General Diagnostic studies, and pediatric fluoroscopy, utilize the latest technology for reduction in the radiation dose to the pediatric patient. Digital fluoroscopy is utilized reducing the need for excessive exposures and allowing computer storage and manipulation of information. General Radiology examinations such as x-rays of the bones of the body, routine chest x-rays and studies for leg lengths, scoliosis (back) and similar x-rays, do not require an appointment during the regular working hours. They require no advance preparation.

The following fluoroscopy procedures require an appointment and almost all of these studies require advance preparation:

  • Barium Swallow or Esophagus and Upper GI or Upper GI and Small Bowel
  • Cystogram or Voiding Cystourethrogram
  • IVP and Barium Enema
  • Barium Enema with Air Contrast
  • Gall Bladder Preparation
