Requirements to Get Started

Commitment: College student volunteers agree to a minimum commitment agreement as stated below. Volunteer hours will be verified and signed off ONLY once the minimum commitment has been met.
Complete at least a SIX-MONTH and 80-HOUR MINIMUM COMMITMENT
Volunteer weekly in a three-hour shift
Two absences allowed in a three-month period of time
Application Procedure: Email completed application form to Include immunizations or titers for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella (Chicken Pox), if available. You will be sent an Orientation invitation after your application has been received. Orientations & Training: Orientation attendance is required and provided by the Volunteer Resources Department. The Volunteer Orientation takes approximately two to three hours. Additional training may be required based on placement assignment.
Interview: After attending a Volunteer Orientation you will be scheduled to have an interview. The purpose of the interview is to help us and you become acquainted and decide if you will be accepted to join our volunteer program, as well as determine volunteer placement and schedule. Volunteer assignments and placements are not guaranteed and are based on availability and the outcome of the interview.
Criminal Background Check: Social security number will be required to complete an online criminal background check at the time of your interview.
Uniform: All volunteers purchase and wear a volunteer uniform.
