Mikhaylo Szczupak, MD
Pediatric Otolaryngologist
Dr. Mikhaylo Szczupak is a pediatric otolaryngologist with the Division of Otolaryngology (ENT) at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests within pediatric otolaryngology include endoscopic sinus surgery, chronic sinusitis and allergic rhinitis, sensorineural/conductive hearing loss, endoscopic (minimally invasive) ear surgery, tympanic membrane perforation repair, bone anchored hearing devices and thyroid surgery.
He earned his medical degree from University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, during which time he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society based on academic merit. Dr. Szczupak completed a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then pursued a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Szczupak is board certified in otolaryngology. He is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO), American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and Ukrainian Medical Association of North America (UMANA). Dr. Szczupak has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to several medical textbooks and presented at international medical conferences.
Dr. Szczupak is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
The Division of Otolaryngology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital offers comprehensive care for children with a full range of ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions. Whether for management of routine ENT problems that can be treated in the office, or more complex diseases of the head and neck requiring surgical intervention in the operating room, the team offers consultation and treatment services to address each child’s individual care needs. The otolaryngology team is proud to be part of the Nicklaus Children’s Craniofacial Center care team, participating in multidisciplinary care clinics to maximize convenience for families of children with facial differences.
