Dr. de la Vega is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is an attending physician within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. de la Vega earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed both her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include counseling patients and families, as well as quality improvement projects.
Dr. de la Vega is board certified in general pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. She has served as a volunteer with a variety of community-based and medical organizations.
Dr. de la Vega sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and conversant in Portuguese.
