Dr. Pedro Pagán Banchs is a pediatric endocrinologist within the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Dr. Pagán then completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. His clinical interests include pituitary disorders, bone mineral disorders, endocrine late effects of cancer treatment and diabetes.

Dr. Pagán is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association and Pediatric Endocrine Society. Dr. Pagán has presented at medical conferences and volunteered his time to assist underserved populations through a variety of healthcare-focused national and international non-profit organizations.

Dr. Pagán is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
