The Department of Radiology at Nicklaus Children's Hospital features state-of-the-art equipment. The radiology practice has been serving the community since the hospital's inception in 1950.  Under the leadership of Dr. Nolan R. Altman, department chief, the group is the largest in South Florida devoted exclusively to the practice of pediatric radiology. It includes board-certified experts in pediatric radiology, nuclear medicine, neuroradiology and cardiac CT imaging, with special interests in pediatric interventional and musculoskeletal disorders. The group oversees the only pediatric radiology fellowship program in South Florida, training radiology residents and fellows.
