Dr. Andrea Granados is a pediatric endocrinologist within the Division of Endocrinology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Granados completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where she also served as chief resident. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her clinical interests include Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD). Prior to joining Nicklaus Children’s, Dr. Granados was part of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM). At WUSM, she participated in a series of projects aimed at improving clinical outcomes and the quality of care provided for patients with Type 1 diabetes and CFRD. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has written multiple chapters for medical text books.

Dr. Granados is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society and American Diabetes Association.

Dr. Granados is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
