A prospective study evaluating serial intestinal ultrasound (IUS) use in pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
Conditions: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease

2-20 years old
Undergoing ileocolonoscopy with new onset diagnosis of IBD (Ulcerative colitis (UC or Crohn’s disease (CD)) or
Patients with known IBD who undergo ileocolonoscopy and/or MRE/CTE for follow up of IBD due to complicated disease or need for therapeutic modification.
History of bowel resection
Patients with UC with proctitis alone. (Not included in previous studies).
Comparison group,have undergone an EGD colonoscopy and IUS and the findings of pathology are within normal limits.
Confirmed diagnosis of infectious gastroenteritis.
Incomplete ileocolonoscopy.
BMI more than 30.
More than 3-week interval period between ileocolonoscopy/MRE/CTE and IUS.
