A volunteer program established in 2014, offers a unique opportunity for newly graduated and licensed nurses. The Nursing department partners with the Volunteer services department to provide staff support through this creative pool of energetic and competent, qualified and licensed nursing professionals. RN volunteers bridge the gap of communication, assisting in improving quality measures and nurse sensitive indicators with a financial benefit to the organization and pathway to a step to be recruited into the Horizon Nurse Residency Program.
RN Volunteer applicants are eligible if they provide the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (BSN) from an accredited school completed
- RN license in the state of Florida
- CPR Certified
- Provide a consistent four-month
The RN Volunteer Program selects candidates on a yearly basis. Applications are available in Volunteer Resources.
