Dr. Kayleen S. Ball is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute. She earned a doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from Albizu University in Miami. Dr. Ball completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School. She then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology with specialty training in bilingual (Spanish/English) neuropsychological assessment at Children’s Health/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, an Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN) member program. Her clinical interests include congenital heart defects, epilepsy, pediatric stroke, neuro-oncology/acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), solid organ transplant and mitochondrial diseases.
 
Dr. Ball is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society, and her work has been presented at several national conferences. She is actively involved as a committee member of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society.
 
Dr. Ball is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
