Hospitalist 

Dr. Stephanie Montarroyos is a hospitalist within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. Dr. Montarroyos then completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include quality improvement, standardization of care and procedural sedation. 

Dr. Montarroyos is board certified in general pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences. 

Dr. Montarroyos is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and also speaks Portuguese. 

The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine oversees the care of children and teens who are hospitalized at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. All of the team’s hospitalists are board certified in pediatrics and hold faculty appointments at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. The care team serves as a point of contact and collaborates closely with family members, nurses, social workers and other healthcare providers, including the child’s primary care pediatrician.
