Dr. Llopiz is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He earned his medical degree from the University of Havana School of Medicine in Cuba. Dr. Llopiz then completed a residency in pediatrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York. His clinical interests include growth and development, acute care and preventive pediatrics, including nutrition.
Dr. Llopiz is board certified in general pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Llopiz sees patients at the Gladys M. and Frederick Stewart Pediatric Care Center on the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
