Dr. Lopez is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He is a pediatric cardiologist with The Heart Institute at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and a clinical instructor of pediatrics at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Lopez earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He then completed his pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include congenital heart disease, arrhythmia and cardiac channelopathies.

Dr. Lopez is board certified in general pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association, Heart Rhythm Society and Pediatric Echocardiography Society of South Florida. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Lopez sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
