Director, Division of Otolaryngology
Dr. Andres Orjuela is a board certified otolaryngologist, head & neck surgeon. His practice in otolaryngology encompasses both pediatric and adult patients.
He completed undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated Cum Laude. His medical degree was obtained at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.
In New York City Dr. Orjuela finished his General Surgery internship at Columbia University Medical Center. He completed a four year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the academic hospitals of Columbia University, Cornell University, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He received the distinguished House Staff Award for exemplary all around service at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, he has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented on multiple topics relating to his specialty.
Dr. Orjuela is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the honor societies of Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa.
He is married to Damaris Miranda, M.D., an OB-GYN physician in private practice at South Miami Hospital.
