Dr. Bolivar joined the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in 1998 after completing his training in pediatric intensive care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree from Javeriana University and his pediatric training from Lorencita Villegas de Santos Children’s Hospital in Bogota, Colombia. He participated in the research program at the Neonatal Pulmonary Laboratory at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and also served as chief resident in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Bolivar is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and is board-eligible for the American Board of Critical Care. Dr. Bolivar’s unique experience as a pediatric intensivist adds tremendous scope and depth to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
