Director, Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program


Dr. Katz is a pediatric cardiac intensivist, providing care management for babies and children in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Dr. Katz earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten, and completed his residency in pediatrics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey. He completed respective fellowships in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, Palo Alto, California.


In addition, Dr. Katz serves as Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program, supporting advanced training for future pediatric cardiologists. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Katz is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine.
