Cristina Abuchaibe, DO
Pediatric and Fetal Cardiologist
Dr. Cristina Abuchaibe is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Heart Institute. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Abuchaibe completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric cardiology with a subspecialty concentration in fetal cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Her clinical interests include echocardiography, preventive cardiology, leadership and child advocacy.
Dr. Abuchaibe served as the Idaho American Academy of Pediatrics’ Chapter Vice President and won an American Academy of Pediatrics’ Special Achievement Award – For Distinguished Service and Dedication to the Mission and Goals of the Academy, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Idaho Chapter – Pediatrician of the Year. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography and American Medical Association. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Abuchaibe is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
