Bryan L. Jan, MD, FAAP
Pediatric Palliative Care
Dr. Bryan Liming Jan is an attending physician with the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. Dr. Jan completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Rochester/Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, New York. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in perinatal palliative care and hospice medicine at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center/Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. His clinical interests include perinatal counseling and support, exploring the perinatal loss experience of racial and ethnic minorities, and enhancing end-of-life and bereavement processes within hospital systems.
Dr. Jan is board certified in general pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Jan is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.. He is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
The Pediatric Palliative Care team at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is dedicated to providing comfort and support to children with serious, life-limiting conditions and their families. The team’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for children by managing symptoms, offering relief from the stresses of illness, and promoting emotional well-being for the entire family.
