Kathryn Johnston, APRN

Kathryn is a pediatric nurse practitioner within the Division of Neurosurgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, part of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute. She completed her first bachelor's degree in business management at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After working in the business sector for a few years, she then went on to complete an accelerated bachelor’s degree in nursing at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Ms. Johnston then pursued a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University in Michigan. Her clinical interests include pediatric neurosurgery and pediatric critical care. 

 

Ms. Johnston is board certified in pediatric acute care and critical care. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Ms. Johnston is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
